In accordance with the Act on the Promotion of Harmonious Regional Development – USSR-2, general (and other) development tasks at the regional level, which are carried out in the public interest, are carried out by RRA registered in the register of regional development agencies at MGRT. The Council of the Pomurje Development Region and the Development Council of the Pomurje Region have chosen a contractual partnership of the existing regional development agencies/institutions of the Pomurje Region for the performance of general development tasks (SRN) in the Pomurje Region in the program period 2021-2027. Partner institutions, in close cooperation with each other and under the coordination of the host institution, coordinate the following areas at the regional level:
- Development center Murska Sobota, lead regional development agency – covers the area of the smart region
- Prlekija development agency giz, participating institution – covers the area of the green region
- PORA, development agency Gornja Radgona, participating institution – covers the area of the social region
- Development agency Sinergija, participating institution – covers areas of the attractive region
- Institute for Tourism and Development Lendava, participating institution – covers areas of the associated region
Development agency Sinergija acts as an active member of the regional network structure of the existing regional development agencies to ensure the implementation of SRN in the Pomurje region, namely as a participating development institution of RRA for Pomurje, responsible for the area of the attractive region. The general development tasks (SRN), which are carried out in the public interest at the regional level, are:
- preparation, coordination, monitoring and evaluation of the regional development program and regional projects in the region,
- preparation of agreements for the development of the region,
- implementation of regional projects and participation in the implementation of public tenders, public procurement and public-private partnership procedures within the framework of these projects,
- cooperation and support in the operation of the development council of the region, the council of the region, the regional development network and regional development partnerships,
- information, general advice, inventory of project ideas and guidance of development partners in the region in the design, application for tenders and implementation of regional projects,
- transfer of knowledge and good practices of regional development and
- assistance in the implementation of regional financial schemes, when implemented by the Public Fund, intended to promote coherent regional and rural development.
On the basis of the Agreement on cooperation in the implementation of the SRN, which was concluded by the designated development institutions, each municipality of the Pomurje region grants one of these institutions consent to perform the SRN in accordance with Article 18 of the USSR-2 for the area of the respective municipality, and concludes a contract with it on co-financing by thr SRN. Since the beginning of 2016, Development agency Sinergija has had written approvals for the implementation of the SRN of all eleven municipalities of the regional development partnership ORP Sinergija, i.e. the municipalities of Beltinci, Cankova, Gornji Petrovci, Grad, Hodoš, Kuzma, Moravske Toplice, Puconci, Rogašovci, Šalovci and Tišina, from at the beginning of 2017 for the municipalities of Odranci, Črenšovci and Turnišče.
