The aim of the strategy is to develop a more connected, accessible and sustainable transport system that improves the quality of life for residents and supports regional development.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal leading-[1.7]\">The preparation of the SUMP for Pomurje is coordinated by ZTR Lendava, while the expert preparation is carried out by Razvojna agencija Sinergija together with the Urban Planning Institute of the Republic of Slovenia (UIRS), ZUM urbanizem, planiranje, projektiranje, and Biro skiro. The process is taking place in collaboration with municipalities, national institutions and key regional stakeholders.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal leading-[1.7]\">Sustainable urban mobility planning represents a modern approach to transport management that puts people and quality of life at its centre. It goes beyond roads and infrastructure, addressing all modes of travel \u2013 walking, cycling, public transport and the car \u2013 as well as access to services, safety and environmental impacts. Since transport flows extend beyond municipal boundaries, regional-level planning is essential for better coordination between municipalities, more efficient transport management and the development of shared solutions. The involvement of key stakeholders from various fields contributes to more aligned outcomes and a higher-quality final document.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal leading-[1.7]\">The SUMP is a regional strategic document that comprehensively addresses transport and mobility.
